Raytheon Celebrates Beginning of School Year by Awarding More Than $1 Million in Grants and Scholarships
WALTHAM, Mass., Aug. 31, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Raytheon Company (NYSE: RTN) is celebrating the beginning of the school year by awarding more than $1 million in scholarships and grants. As part of its annual scholarship program, Raytheon honors students who excel in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) as well as teachers who engage students in STEM. One hundred fifty students from across the country each received a $1,000 MathMovesU® Middle School Scholarship with the option to attend a math and science camp or technology program this summer or save the money for college.
